Steve Jobs? Bill Gates? Zillions of people… Lose priorities??
We might argue on what ones priorities should be, in a free society?
As a rule, I do not agree.
How about, No prosperity tends to cause one to lose his priorities.
That’s true too, or not. (Poverty >> Crime)
Prosperity is what happens, when you’re succeeding well, in your priorities. You can’t succeed without making IT a priority. (Perspiration over Inspiration)
Always exceptions. It’s a big world, with many psychological profiles, many educated’s out there. Many ego’s.
    I understand what you’re implying.
Humility and ethics must be engaged.
You have to remember the hands you shake when your on the way up, other wise you might find yourself alone on the way down.
I don’t think philanthropists have necessarily lost their priorities. in general.
    BUT YES.
Anything to excess (prosperity or lack of prosperity), without an ethical compass, can create imbalance, and a loss of priorities.
Living life in Moderation probably is the best policy and/or safety net for a prosperous, prioritized life. A life in balance.

Carnegie and Nobel look like their prosperity made them benefactors when the truth is it was their guilt. I have seen so many chiropractors sucked down the bunny hole of flashy cars, big houses, and exotic vacations. The attitude is “I deserve it”. It is so sad when excess is the expression of affluence.

Dr. Hollensed, aren’t you glad that we don’t have to judge the motivation and the hearts of others and can leave that judgment up to the Supreme Court of Heaven? Carnegie and Nobel one day will stand before that Court, as we all will, and give account for the motivation for their actions in this life. You’re so correct when you say, “it is so sad when excess is the expression of affluence”. The law of gravity and the law of life keeps our feet on this planet and gives us the ability to become affluent. Our expression should be one of humble thankfulness toward the Creator of those laws that enable us to be affluent.

If there was more prosperity attained thru chiropractic, chiropractic would be having a larger impact on humanity.

David, here is a personal question, one that should not be answered in a public forum: would you have investigated objective straight chiropractic if you “attained prosperity” through your former approach to chiropractic, practicing in your former manner?
