Non-symptomatic Chiropractic

14

The importance, the uniqueness and the difference of the OSC approach in chiropractic care is for non-symptomatic people, those without a medical condition but with vertebral subluxation. Does the objective of “getting sick people well” and the activities surrounding that objective (like the diagnosis of and research into affecting medical conditions) undermine that approach/intention/importance?
Remind me again John, why we are doing research?

HMM, OSC is independent from symptoms. Therefore OSC is for anyone, regardless of symptoms. The facilitation of the correction of VS is not dependent on symptoms, just its very presence. Innate knows best and needs no interference does not imply “sick people get well”, it does imply innate is able to do what innate does without interference. Just Thots

Unfortunately, Bradley most chiropractors equate getting sick people well with relief of symptoms. Some by relieving those symptoms by “adjustments” some by anything and everything else. Some believe you are well when your subluxations have been corrected. The adjustment does not get a person well. The innate intelligence of the body does with or without an adjustment. We say it (ii) has a greater potential to do that if there is no interference in the nerve system

Thirty-three principles comprise the foundational building blocks of chiropractic’s Basic science and as such, are the AUTHORITY of chiropractic. From those 33 principles we can conclude that the objective of chiropractic is to locate, analyze and correct vertebral subluxation for a full expression of the innate forces of the innate intelligence of the body. PERIOD.

We note that there is NO mention of health, illness, symptoms, pain or human potential within the 33 principles of chiropractic’s basic science. For this reason it is concluded that chiropractic is NON-THERAPEUTIC and is not part of the human potential movement. The purpose of chiropractic is its objective, which can ONLY be deduced from its science. When a profession has its science, this very science becomes the driving FORCE (guiding instructive information) that can be disseminated to the people of the world. It is the birthright of EVERY human being (including those who are asymptomatic) to know the basic truth of the chiropractic objective and avail themselves of chiropractic care. It follows that chiropractic research should therefore be NON-THERAPEUTIC as well. Thus, any research directed toward the validation of symptoms, diseases and syndromes alleviations or eliminations is NOT chiropractic and should NOT be considered chiropractic research.

According to the research department of Sherman College,

      “Research Interests

Sherman College researchers have a particular interest the development of objective measures of assessing the vertebral subluxation, particularly in regard to its biomechanical and neurological components. Investigations into the effects of subluxation correction involve assessments of human physical and mental performance as well as physiological effects.”-

      – This type of research according to the authority of the 33 principles of chiropractic’s basic science, which give rise to the chiropractic objective, is therapeutic. First, it deals with only the biomechanical (loss of juxtaposition of vertebra and occlusion of intervertebral foramina) and neurological component (impingement upon nerve). Those components are physical components and as such, they can be measured. They are NOT the subluxation of vertebra. They are the misalignment of vertebra. They denote the POSSIBILITY of subluxation. Only if the fourth component (interfence with transmission of mental impulse), which is metaphysical, can it be define as a subluxation. Since it is impossible to measure anything within the metaphysical realm with physical instruments, this type of research addresses only misalignment and NOT subluxation. There is no mention of misalignment within the 33 principles, only mention of “subluxation in the vertebral column” (pri.31). Therefore, this is not chiropractic research. –

      – Further more, physical, mental, and physiological performance is not part of the chiropractic objective which is concluded from the authority of 33 principles of chiropractic’s basic science, Stated, the chiropractic objective is to LACVS for full expression of the innate FORCES of the innate intelligence of the body. PERIOD.

        Hello from Brazil,

So how can we be sure we are correcting VS if the only thing that define it is unmeasurable?
        Are we just adjusting misalignments?

        Thank you!

        • Claude Lessard 06/02/2016, 5:16 pm:

          Hello from the USA.

Rodrigo, we are introducing specific adjustic thrust (educated universal force)at the VS level with the hope that the innate intelligence of the body will adapt it into an innate force for the purpose of producing a vertebral adjustment. It is the innate intelligence of the member’s body that is producing the vertebral adjustment… NOT the chiropractor. Your chiropractic analysts should tell you if the adjustment happened or not.

Hooray for you for at last getting to this nitty gritty explanation of researching for the correct way of educating what Chiropractic is truly the essence of why we were given this gift in helping the creator in healing this ailing world & get down to business as D.d. stated which has also been misinterpreted,…..GET THE BIG IDEA & AL ELSE WILL FOLLOW.
knowing possibly, tying it all in as the Oneness it is. Soul in the hu,an frame to co-create with the Master Creator as we unite man9 ourselves to God, another great thought given to D.D.

So, when I gave my Orientation today, and talked about Subluxations decreasing the person’s quality and quantity of life in the body, thereby decreasing their body’s adaptability to stress, and decreasing their individual potential, I was not being accurate??

    • Joe Strauss 05/06/2016, 12:53 pm:

A “person’s quality and quantity of life” is dependent upon many things. We only address one, the integrity of their nerve system at the vertebral level, something no one else does.

      • Claude 05/06/2016, 4:28 pm:

Based on the authority of the 33 principles of chiropractic’s basic science, innate intelligence is ALWAYS normal and its function is always normal (pri27). Also, there can interference with transmission of innate forces (pri29) and that interference is directly or indirectly due to subluxations in the spinal column (pri31). Therefore, the LACVS for a full (normal) expression of the innate forces of the innate intelligence of the body is the ONLY chiropractic objective. –

        – As Joseph, mentioned above, there are many factors involved in “quantity and quality of life”, in “adaptability to stress” and “individual potential”. Objective chiropractors practice the chiropractic objective which deals with the principle of coordination (pri.32). –

        – In the orientation, after explaining what chiropractic is not, what chiropractic is, what a subluxation is not, what a subluxation is, what an adjustic thrust is not, what an adjustic thrust is, it is important that you ask your audience what makes sense to them… to live with subluxations or to live without subluxtions. 100% will respond that it makes sense to live without subluxations! At that moment, since it makes sense to them to live without subluxations, you invite them to have their spine checked. –

        – So the reason for people to have their spine checked, is that it makes sense to them. That’s why TMITWDITO!!!

    Hello,

This research question is interesting to me.

    In particular this part…
“According to the research department of Sherman College,….They are NOT the subluxation of vertebra. Therefore, this is not chiropractic research.”

Unless I am interpreting this incorrectly, I would assume that until the metaphysical component is measured by a physical instrument all research done to date (including all done by any chiropractor) is not chiropractic research.

This sounds complicated to me but I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts on that.
    Thanks,

    Don

      **correction:
Not according to Sherman College…..but…according to Dr. Lessard. 🙂
      Sorry about that.
      Cheers,
      Don

    Don, –

    – Read my comment under the post titled “VALIDATION” (January 8, 2016). 😉

Thank you for the suggestion Dr. Lessard. I read it.
