The Evolution of the Chiropractic Objective

3

DD and later BJ saw so many people get well from many conditions that eventually the objective was concluded that chiropractic did not cure any or all diseases. It enabled the innate intelligence of the body to get people better from many diseases notwithstanding limitations of matter. That is and has always been the cause of healing, even before 1895. Removing nerve interference just enabled the innate intelligence to do it a little bit better.

So simple to understand, though not widely understood!

The constant major premise . . . offers a start point for chiropractic that is relevant to all of us, not just to a few. –

    – The constant law of organization encompasses the continually recurring truth in all of the universal e/matter that continues to say:
There is a universal organization underneath and inherent in the world of things; –

    – There is in “living things” a natural capacity, similarity, and affinity for this universal organization; –

    – The final goal of existence is the full coordinated expression of the information given by this law of organization which is uniting intelligence and e/matter and is manifested through motion in e/matter. (pri. 1, 8, 10, 13, 14, 20, 32) –

    – This continual chiropractic philosophy and its 33 absolute principles of chiropractics basic’s science have never been dismissed by the profession. I was trained with a thorough study of “Stephenson’s Chiropractic Textbook” and “straight chiropractic philosophy”; these and the whole chiropractic history taught me to honor the visibility and revelation of ALL of the 33 principles of chiropractic basic’s science, in all the green books, blue books and of many other chiropractic authors (Koch, Senzon, McAuley, Keating, Donahue, etc…) –

    – In many ways, the constant major premise was affirmed at the opening doors of Sherman College in 1973 in forward-looking documents on “What Chiropractic Is” (Sherman’s Catalogue 1976-1978). For example, the document begins by saying that “The philosophy is the body of principles upon which are based the science and art of chiropractic. This philosophy encompasses recognition of the inviolability of Universal Laws and a profound respect for the inherent recuperative ability of the human body.” We must recognize that universal laws comprise a single start point and have a single origin [the major premise]. . . . And ONE also is their final goal: Full expression of universal information. . . . The chiropractic objective is a logical, rational and deductive conclusion based of the 33 principles of chiropractic’s basic science. Then the document goes on to mention the fact that “chiropractic teaches that man
(sic), rather that being apart from nature, is a part of nature, that he should not attempt to dominate, subdue or alter nature, but rather should strive to understand, cooperate and harmonize his life with nature”. –

    – You have got to realize what courage and brilliance it took to write that in 1976, when very few people thought that way. In fact, most still don’t think that way today, (according to a “YouGov poll” of January 2014, the number of respondents showed that their concern about the environment is about 6% of their total issues). Of course, it is when we become proud that we also become di-psycho and oppositional (authoritarian vs dismissive). It is rather current considering the news these days. –

    – In some crucial ways, we have actually gone backward from the deep thinkers and their writings about the constant major premise. Good basic science is made to order to serve as a “conveyor belt” forward through all the stages of the evolution of the chiropractic objective. How sad when we get stymied at one self-serving stage (to get sick people well).

well said – this should be shared with everyone particularly those in chiropractic who have not been taught these truths. Face the possible rebuffs because all in the profession need this.
